I Love My Lips

I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with Veggie Tales cartoons for kiddos, but there's a Silly Song with Larry on there called I Love My Lips and I think that's Kinsey's new theme song. She has discovered her tongue and her lips and her power to make mega spit bubbles and she makes the funniest faces and sounds now. Here are a couple of shots - it's hard to get it on camera. Her other new trick is to pull a burp cloth off of her face when you throw it on her. She's so proud of herself. She's really fast with it, too. She mostly uses her left-hand and she's getting really good at grabbing things and controlling where they go.
Kinsey is also in the "let me hold it" stage. Everything from her bottle to the sink sprayer during bath time.
We had a great visit with Paul and Anna last weekend. It felt like the good ol' days of hanging out with the Fergusons and Paul. And we really enjoyed getting to know Anna better.

We also got to have some good time with the Fergy boys and Kinsey. It's so fun to watch Kade and Kamden with Kinsey, they are so sweet with her. Can't wait for Kale to get here and join them.

It's been a really rough week here trying to get Kinsey to learn to go to sleep on her own. She has been a real trooper and we think she might be finally slowly getting it. For the first time since we started trying, she is finally taking a small nap this morning. Please keep praying for us - it's really hard to listen to her cry and know how much she needs to sleep and not give in to the temptation to rock her to sleep. But she is slowly getting it and we are so proud of her.
