The chair, Grammy visit, and some other stuff

Well, some pretty exciting things have happened in my little world since the last time we talked. My friends the Fergusons gave me this chair - and I think it's really cool. I feel like such a big girl when I sit in this chair. Here's me reading to Pops and Nana last week. More on the chair later...

So Friday morning I got rested up because my Grammy was coming and Mommy said we had a lot to do over the weekend. So here's me at the end of my morning nap.

Mommy was right - Grammy did come visit me and we had a lot of fun together. She brought me some fun cards. When you open them up, they play music and it's really fun to dance to them. Grammy also brought me some fresh new YUMMY pacis. I like them already!!

And here we are playing with a fun farm animal magnet toy. It's really cool - you can put a duck's head on it and a sheep's bottom and it says "you made a duck sheep - that's silly". I really like putting the magnets on and hearing the animal sounds. And I'm not really sure where she got the idea to do this to my hair, but I had a banana snack and rubbed banana in my hair and Grammy twisted it into this funny looking curl on top of my head!!

So then I showed Grammy how much fun it is to play with my castle.

So we ran a bunch of errands and ate some good Mexican food and then it was time for some guitar music with Daddy before bed. Daddy is a really good guitar player - he can play music AND sing at the same time. I like to dance around and play with his music stand and tuner. My Daddy is a great musician!! Then it was time for a little "Where's Kinsey". I hide behind this chair and then pop out when Mommy and Daddy ask where I am. I'm really good at this game and it makes everyone laugh. My other fun new game is "Rolling down the sandhills", which is a Wiggles song I like to listen to. It's really fun to roll around on the floor while everyone sings the song.
Grandparents are so fun - they let us do really cool things that parents tell us are "no-nos". I am always trying to grab the blind cords and play with them and I finally grabbed them when Mommy and Daddy weren't looking! I swung around on them for a while - so cool!!
Ok, so back to the chair. So I really like sitting in my chair, but I can't figure out how to get in the thing!!! Here are some pictures of me trying to sit in it.
I also really like carrying my chair. I think maybe if I move it to a new spot each time it'll be easier for me to get into it.Ok, last picture :). Here's me Sunday morning. Is this the cutest dress or what? I got it last year in Austin at the Pecan Street Festival and I can finally wear it!
Ok, so Mommy calls this a "teaser" - I've been playing dress up and she took some really funny pictures of me - so stay tuned and in a couple of days we'll put those up.

Date Night!

We had a great weekend! Friday night Nana and Pops watched our little punkin and we went on a date. First we went to Guero's Taco Bar on South Congress. So delicious! We highly recommend the layer dip! Everything was good - next time we'll sit outside and watch the live music on Friday nights!! The craziest thing was that our waitress was a girl that I (Darin) grew up living right next door to until I went to college. So crazy! What a small world!

Then we decided to drive on out to vist the Starbucks "Green" Store in South Austin that is the first one in Texas. It was pretty cool - we need to go back in the daytime so we can see the flowers on the roof.
After eating and drinking, we walked around Barton Creek Mall and contemplated a 10:15pm movie, but then realized we are way too old to do crazy stuff like that, so we came home.

Saturday we went down toTown Lake and went kayaking with some of my people from work. It was so much fun! The weather was perfect and the kayaking was really fun. We will definitely have to do that again. Here's what the dock looked like - next time we'll bring a waterproof camera.
So all in all we had a really fun weekend just the two of us hanging out. It was good to spend some time today with our punkin again. She is walking up a storm and can now get across the entire room. She is awfully proud of herself and really seems to enjoy walking more than crawling now. And she is still really into hats. Here she is wearing Mommy's visor...

Do you see just a bit of drool there? Well she's getting like 3 teeth all at once and it's like a faucet around here.

We had a good playdate on Friday with Krista and Riley at the good ol' duck pond. And here she is today playing in some fun spring clothes. She still wants a little help from time to time with walking, usually when she's really cracking up about something.

Elephants, Bubbles, Cute Outfit and Nekkidness!

My awesome cousin Hailey and her Mommy and Daddy sent me this fun elephant towel for my birthday and it's really cool! And after my bath last night, Daddy started my bubbles for me and they are so fun!!! And then here's me in the towel drying off after the bath on the changing table. Then Mommy and Daddy let me walk around nekkid for a few minutes which was pretty fun. So then I got dressed for bed and played some more with the bubbles. Me and Bullet both like to play in them.
And here's me in a cute outfit that my Nana got for me. It has a cat on the shirt and I love cats!

Bathtime, Bouncers, Berets, and Baseball (again!!)

Well you can probably tell, but Daddy gave me a bath the other night and really went to town on my hair.
I love chewing on my fish in the tub.
Mom came in the room and I was like "Umm - have you seen what Dad did to my hair???"
The other thing I like to do now is drink water in the tub. This cup was a little big...
So I got my smaller cup - this is the one I like to fill up and dump over the edge of the bathtub - Mom thinks that's really funny (not!).

Yea - I haven't really figured out the flow of the water yet and I get a little chokey sometimes :)

Then Daddy decided to land a plane on my head...

Ok, enough of bathtime. Now for bouncers. My friend Riley is so funny y'all - you should see her in this bouncy exersaucer. She bounces up and down like a rabbit!!! Riley is really funny and she moved closer to me so now I can see her more often.
This is me and Riley - we weren't cooperating with Mom and the camera but maybe next time she can get one of us smiling. And this is me walking all around Riley's Mom Krista - she is really fun, too. So now onto berets - I'm totally into hats this week. I want to put all of mine on and I'm putting all kinds of stuff on people's heads and calling them hats. So here's me in one of my favorite hats. I was having some lunch...That's Mommy and Daddy's leftover fajitas from dinner the night before - steak, onion and bell pepper. I really liked the steak fajita meat. Yummy!!!

And this picture doesn't have anything to do with a "b" word like the others, but it is a way cute outfit that my CC got me and Mommy wants to put up the picture.

So finally onto Baseball - my new friends Keirah and Aubryn and Leif (and their Mommy Jada and Daddy Nick) had tickets for the grass section at the Round Rock Express and we went with them last weekend. So much fun!!! Here's Aubryn dancing - she is really funny!!!
Here's Nick with Leif and Daddy and me. Leif is just a baby so he was all wrapped up because it was windy. Mommy said he looked like he was from Star Wars. Nick has sunflower seeds in his mouth that's why he looks funny :)
And here's the whole Shock family. That's Keirah on the right with Jada, her Mommy. You already met Nick and Leif and Aubryn in the other pictures.
And this is a funny picture of Daddy flipping me on my back - it cracks me up.

Well - I've got to go now, it's bedtime and I've had a busy day so I'm whooped!
