Tag is 8 months old now. It's getting much harder to do photo shoots with him because he's so interested in everything around him and SO on the move all the time. He's still a cutie though, even if he doesn't give perfect pictures every time!

We thought we'd try again at Pops and Nana's house that afternoon - it was even crazier because he wanted to roll around everywhere.

Tag wants to touch everything and it's making him pretty frustrated that he can't get there quickly. His versions of movement mostly entail rolling, but he's also getting the backwards scoot down. And sometimes he can turn in a full circle!

There's always time for a snack, even in the middle of playtime!

We were out at Pops and Nana's house to celebrate Pops' and my birthdays, which are the 24th and 25th of January respectively. Kinsey was all excited to play golf and make cupcakes! Here are some shots of the outdoor fun.

Pops' Flight School...

Then it was time to decorate cupcakes. Kinsey was so excited! Her favorite things: a project, chocolate, and candies!

Miraculously, a few of the candies and sprinkles actually made it onto the cupcakes!

Enjoying the fruits of her labor...

Kinsey and Nana had a blast with some library books that Nana checked out.

And Pops got the joy of trying to get past the always-busy-Tag-hands to feed him :)

Then it was time for another one of Kinsey's favorite things - getting on the "Total Gym" to play a myriad of imaginative games.

We have a beautiful new nephew - Walker Lee Hallam was born this week in Houston. We can't wait to meet him!!!

One day this week, Kinsey decided that it would be a good idea to pull out every stuffed animal in Tag's room, spread them on the floor of the living room, and wallow around in them. Too funny!

If she wasn't as good at cleaning up as she is at messing up, I might hesitate to let her do these things :).
Later that same day, I left the room for a few minutes and when I came back, Kinsey said "Hey Mommy, I found your camera!" Apparently she more than found it, she took some test shots :)

Grammy & Poppi sent us some steaks and there was some dry ice in the cooler, so Douglas decided to teach Kinsey some science. It was pretty cool and she had a blast!

I turned 33 on Sunday, and after several fun things this week, my husband conspired with Keith & Barie & Nick & Jada to surprise me at my favorite restaurant, Hula Hut, to celebrate. Yummy margaritas, chips, salsa, fajitas, and key lime pie!

We had a great time! You would think that we'd hang out often, but really we're all very busy and it's hard to coordinate schedules. I was happy to be the excuse for us to get together. Despite Keith's ribbing about how old I am now, it was great fun!
I'm blessed to have friends who are not only beautiful inside, but outside as well. We all coordianted nicely tonight :)

And look at our good looking dates!

Our good friends the McBrides kept our kiddos while we were at dinner, we are now alternating date nights with them. Kinsey loves them so much - she excitedly told me earlier today: "Kurt calls me Sweet-Pie!" which she thinks is too cool. Anyway, our little sleepyhead went to bed at 8pm tonight, way before we got home at 8:40. She still needs naps, but doesn't want to take them, so she ends up pretty tired at night :). Anyway, we feel really blessed to have friends who we know love our kids and enjoy hanging out with them so we can have dates. And of course the reverse is true - in 2 weeks it's our turn and we can't wait to play with them on their new air hockey table!

I'm a little concerned about Douglas huffing the dry ice in the sink.
