On Saturday we went to the coast for a baby shower for Brian & Crystal (Douglas' brother and his wife). They are expecting a little girl in late May and we know that Kinsey will be really glad to have another little girl in her life, especially since the Fergusons are having another boy and Emma just doesn't live close enough (until we convince the McBrides to move here that is). Brian and Crystal are going to be great parents and we can't wait to meet Hailey!

It was a grandparent weekend - we came home Saturday night and Grammy and Poppi came over so they could see Douglas lead worship in church this morning. Kinsey did great as long as she could hear her Daddy singing, but as soon as praise & worship was over, she got very fussy - I think she wanted them to let Douglas sing for the whole service! Luckily, there's a family room just off of the worship center with a big screen tv that shows the sermon, and so she was able to spend some time in there with the other fussy kiddos.
Sunday afternoon we took her for a really long walk to the park, and she got to spend some good quality time with Grammy & Poppi. And Momma and Daddy got to have another good night's sleep because Grammy did the overnight feedings again. Here's Poppi feeding her and Grammy napping with her:
Kinsey is starting to get so much more alert - she's really able to focus on things further away now, and fans and lights seem to be her favorite. She also loves stretching and wiggling around and is so fun to watch! She really enjoys watching the Christmas lights that Douglas hung over the hammock. Today, Wednesday, she has started smiling at us!!! Real smiles, not gas!! We'll try to get pics soon!
