SNOW, some other stuff, and a Birthday Party!!

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! So I know it snowed here in December, but we were on vacation in Mexico and didn't get to enjoy it with the kids, so when the white stuff came down again, we were so excited!!! The kids couldn't believe it.
Tag had to have a snowball in his hands at ALL times. And he really enjoyed eating them as well :)
Kinsey was determined to make a SnowWoman. As she explained to me, boys make snowmen and girls make "snow-womens".
After playing outside, they were pooped. Kinsey flopped on the floor and Tag came over and laid down on top of her.
At the end of February, Douglas and I went on a "Getting Away to Get It Together" weekend to San Antonio. It's kind of a personalized marriage retreat and it is AWESOME!!! We had such a great time together talking about our marriage, our kids, our budget, and our year. And we ate some great food and did some fun shopping as well. We spent an afternoon at the La Cantera shopping center, which is incredible!
While we were gone, Grammy stayed with the kiddos and cousin Ashley and Aunt Rita came over to hang out. Here's Kinsey and Tag and Ashley playing duck, duck, goose.
Ashley and Kinsey doing a puzzle.
Rita, Ashley & Kinsey playing Hullabaloo. We are so glad that they are living here now - it's always fun to have family closer!
When we got back from our weekend, Kinsey wanted to take some pictures so Mom and I posed for her.
Here she wanted me to do a sad face...Then it was silly face time everywhere :)
On a recent visit to GG's house in the Woodlands, Kinsey got to demonstrate some of her mad puzzle skills to both GG and Aunt Linda...
GG impressed her with some jewel earrings that were a huge hit!
Both kids had a blast on this cat climbing toy.
And Tag really enjoyed the piano.
Random cute pic of Tag on the way home from church one day. This is just before his recent haircut when he looks a little shaggy. Time to celebrate Kinsey's big 4!! She requested a "Marina" cake in honor of her favorite show "The Fresh Beat Band" and her favorite character Marina who plays drums. So her super talented Daddy busted out his creativity and turned her cake into a drum!
She requested to have her party at Mighty Fine Burger, which is her favorite restaurant and they happen to have an awesome playground. So we called up a few friends and had a really fun evening. Here's Dad, Taggart, and cousin Jaime having some fun on the playground.
Kinsey's best girl friend is Emma, and she was beyond excited to meet another little girl on the playground named Emma!!! Emma #1 is on the left, new Emma is in the middle :)
Here's Ryan - what a face!
Here's his big brother Owen on the spiral thing :-)
Here's Emma on the hammock swing...
Jacob asked me to take a picture of him sliding down these bars.
Emma and Kinsey entertaining Lucy...
Superman even came!!! Here's Kale...
And beautiful Emry with her Mom JadaShocks, Fergusons, and McBrides...
Cute shot of Jacob and Emma...
Love this pic of Kamden - he's got the cutest personality! Finally it was burger time!Mmmmmm...
It was awfully windy so we had to shield the flames on the candles and sing fast!
Blow!!!
Love this girl!!!
It was a great party - she got some awesome books, a princess cape, and tons of fun stuff to play with, like this Ariel doll that changes tail colors in cold water. I think she and Nana spent at least 1/2 hr playing with her in the sink :)
Mommy and daddy got her a bike. She was way excited and we were more than a little taken aback at how grown up she actually looks sitting on it!!!
During the last cold snap we did s'mores in the backyard and Kinsey really dug the chimenea.
Tag loves play-doh!
We left for a weekend in Huntsville after small group one night - so at like 9pm we left Round Rock. Our kids do NOT sleep in the car as a rule. So at 11pm, we look back and Kinsey is totally asleep and Tag is in like a goofy/silly/delusional state that was just precious. Here's the pic from Douglas' phone :)
Kinsey was more than thrilled to see her cousin Hailey and of course CC had to spoil them at Target with some new stuff :).
I crocheted the girls matching hats, which ended up being good timing because the weather was just a little chilly. Here they are on Obi's 4 wheeler, which they had a blast riding.
I know that every time we go to Huntsville I post pics of the kids in the swings - it really is the highlight of their trip. Tag now says "very very high" every time we get on a swing because of these moves :)
Here's Uncle Robert giving him a push as well.
Kinsey can get pretty high on the other swing also. Her pumping skills have gotten amazing and I'm so proud of how hard she worked to learn to pump on her own!
Frequently in pics, Kinsey looks like she is smushing some part of Hailey - I think this is a good reason for us not to have a puppy at this age - she clearly gets overcome with love :-)
They did a big crawfish boil on our last day and the kids had a great time watching the crawfish before their big swim.
Tag has a new class at Sunday School called the Bumblebees. Here he is doing crafts! I can't believe he's old enough to start bringing projects home from church!
On St. Patrick's Day, Kinsey got to have a fun Daddy date and spend some time at his office. Love this outfit Daddy put together! I told her I really liked her sash belt and she got this big grin and said "Mommy, do you know the best part? Daddy left this part hanging down so I could play with it!"
Here she was in the car on the way to the unofficial "take your daughter to work" day. And then later snuggling with her brother watching tv. I love that they just chose to hold hands.
And now for Kinsey's official 4 year old shots :). It's amazing to me how much she changes year to year, but this year she has grown so much and her body has changed so that she looks like a little girl now and not a toddler. We got this outfit for her a week before at WalMart (love walmart!). If you ask Kinsey what her favorite color is, she will say "I like all the colors, purple and pink are my favorite, but I like all the colors except black and white". So this shirt is navy with white and of course white pants. It was like pulling teeth to get her to consider it. The white pants have very light pink details along the pockets and we showed those to her to influence the decision. So she goes, "OR, we could get these that are pink all the way!" and showed us a pair of solid pink capris. Trying to convince her that every item in her closet doesn't have to be pink or purple is an on-going conversation. So if you ever see her in something other than those colors, be sure to compliment her :) Anyway, after all of that, here are some cute pics of our 4 year old!
