Padre Thursday

More Padre pics! Another rainy day at the beach. This time we entertained with puzzles, reading, wet soccer, seagull chasing, and wave playing. And for those of you who tease me that there are never pics of me on here, just get ready :-) Douglas took the camera and there are tons of great Mommy/Kinsey moments captured.

Daddy and Kinsey had a great time chasing the birds on the beach and running through the waves. Then Mommy and Kinsey took on the chilly waves. On the way back, Kinsey was kind of tired so to energize her, Daddy created a special pathway that she had to walk back inside. He exhausted his toes, but she had a blast. After we dried off, we took Tag & Kinsey to a shell shop in Port Isabel and Kinsey had a blast with the giant-sized decorations outside. When we got back, it was puzzle time! We got a great box of Disney puzzles ranging from 150 to 600 pieces. Kinsey wanted to take on Snow White with Nana and Daddy. Coming back from a quick trip down to the beach with Pops and Nana. And then it was time for some rain soccer.
Passing the rain time with some great books. I found two great books at the library for grandparents. One was a Spot book and the other is called Grandpa Has A Great Big Face - it's really cute.
That night Douglas got a wild idea that he and I should have a puzzle race. We took on the two 500 piece puzzles. By random selection, I ended up with Mickey and Minnie in Paris or Venice or something with lots of purpley abstract pieces. Douglas got Monsters Inc with giant turquoise Sully. It was neck and neck for a while, but ultimately all of the smack talk from across the table did not phase me and I smoked him! So of course I got to wear the ceremonial Victory crab hat :)Kinsey wanted in on the celebration :)
