Halloween in Jasper

We took a trip to Jasper back at Halloween to visit Grammy and Poppi. It was great to be in the woods with the kids! The weather was perfect for playing with the dogs, hanging out at the waterfall, and walking down to the sandbar.

The first day he had to check out the waterfall - that meant some serious hanging-on by Douglas. He wanted so much to get in the water...He also fell in love with Tasha and Laser. Here he is sharing his juice with Tasha-
-and what's juice without a little snack?
The next day, it was back down to the waterfall, this time he stayed mostly dry.
We went down to the sandbar and the kids got to use the shovels and buckets in the sand for a while. Then Tag was desperate for the water again and got soaked so he and Daddy headed back to the house for dry clothes and a nap :) Grammy and Kinsey played in the water a little bit more, trying to keep dry.
Then it was time to go back inside to decorate the Christmas tree. Yes, it was Halloween and we were decorating for Christmas. Because my daughter loves holidays just like her Grammy, pretty soon we were representing every holiday in what our friends affectionately termed "Christ-oween-ster".
After naps, we headed back outside to play on the sandbar below the house and celebrate a visit from Ganny and Bill and Surprise! Laura too!
Kinsey played in a really cool tree down by the creek with these giant roots coming down the bank.
and then Daddy took her and Tag up high.
and Kinsey rolled down the hill a few times.
Here are some more cute pics of the kiddos.
Laura brought a crazy puzzle shaped like a ball that was a challenge for all of us :)
That evening we got ready for trick-or-treating. Kinsey wanted to dress up as her favorite musician on The Fresh Beat Band, Mirena. Yes, that is an Easter basket she's carrying for candy :) Here she is with Grammy walking up to Royce & Gwen's house. The kids really had a blast with the dogs.
Great visit Grammy and Poppi!
Oh, and my grandmother brought a shirt for Tag. Grandmothers don't lie, right???
