Last day of Padre photos

So our last day of Padre was slightly different than the others in that we kicked off the day by going to the Emergency Room! Saturday had been our first day of sun in what seemed like forever, and at some point during the day, Kinsey got an ant bite on her ankle. It swelled a bit Saturday night and by Sunday morning it was really big and red. There is NOTHING on the island, so we made the decision to travel the hour to Harlingen to check it out at the ER. It was a beautiful sunny morning and we hated missing the beach time, but we loaded up with books and snacks and juice and went out to the van. When we opened the van, there were tiny ants crawling all over the carseats. Pops said we should just take their convertible and he'd fog our van for us while we were gone. Poor Kins was not really excited, but after about 2 seconds in the back of Pops' car, she was on cloud nine. She had a blast in the convertible. The ER trip was actually pretty quick and after a slushy from Sonic, we were back on our way to the condo (check future posts for info on the gift that kept on giving from the ER). We made it back and had an awesome afternoon at the beach - in fact Kinsey stayed at the water from noonish until about 8:00 that evening :). What a trooper!!!
