Hey everyone! Hope your Turkey Day was gobble-rific! Tag turned 6 months on Nov. 21st and he celebrated with one of his favorite activities - a bath! He's getting to be such a big boy now, he can sit up in the bathtub by himself. He really likes the water and especially enjoys trying to grab everything around the sink.

It's been so long since I've blogged, I'm going to have to go chronologically or I'm bound to forget something. So, a couple of weeks ago, we had Jaime and Alex and Linda and Rodney for a quick visit. Kinsey introduced Aunt Linda to "Maggie", her magnetic dress-up doll friend and Alex and Tag did a little bonding.

I just love Tag's face there - what on earth is that expression???
Jaime hasn't gotten to see Tag near as much as she got to see Kinsey - this bummer new job of hers actually makes her work and she doesn't get to come hang out with us like she did when she was a Nanny. So it was super fun to get to see them together :)

We played some Wii Fit while they were here and afterwards, Kinsey wanted to practice her ski jumps.

We had so much fun that we had Jaime and Alex come back for more games and dinner a few nights later. Jaime brought Kinsey a really cool playdoh kit with funny faces and she and Alex had fun using their artistic skills.

Then Kinsey decided that it was time to show off a little bit so she started re-enacting some Backyardigans songs from the cowboy episode. She was singing and then would take off her hat with a flourish and shout "Yahoo!"

She tends to get more dramatic as the night goes on, and especially when there's company to impress :).
We had another fun visit shortly after, with my good friend Molly and her little boy Noah. Noah has gotten so big and his grasp of English and Spanish is really amazing! He and Tag had some good guy time during the playdate.

Tag has still been enjoying eating. It's still a constant effort to keep his hands out of his mouth, but he seems to like everything he's had so far. Here are shots of peas and sweet potato :)

We made a quick day trip out to see Nana and Pops for some golf :)

Apparently that wasn't enough exercise so Kinsey got Pops on the Total Gym for a quick workout. She loves that machine and wears Pops out pushing her up and down on it.

In the meantime, Tag was inside practicing sitting and playing with toys.

A couple of nights later, Daddy and Kinsey had playtime outside and after some serious basketball, it was time for some hot chocolate. I just love this picture.

Daddy of course makes time for Tag, too. The boy loves to stand up, it really gets him talking and spitting and laughing. Here's my two best guys...

Lest you think that he is always a super-kind Daddy, I must share this story with you. Kinsey learned how to open doors this month and would open and close her door over and over and over and over again but never come out. So she didn't know that we knew that she had learned this trick, and Daddy decided to take the opportunity to play a little prank on her. So early Saturday morning she was opening and closing repeatedly and he snuck into the hallway and sat outside her door and waited for her to open and very calmly said "Boo". This was her face...

So then the next day at naptime she's opening and closing, opening and closing and I repeatedly told her to keep the door closed. So finally I asked her why she was disobeying me and she said "Because I have to see if someone is there!" So thanks Daddy for creating a precious paranoid little girl :). We finally got the childproof doorknob covers, so for now, she's trapped in her room again.
Obi had a birthday recently and we made a quick afternoon trip down to hang out for a bit and go to dinner. Kinsey got to see her cousin Hailey and do some celebrating with Obi. The girls had a room full of toys and all they wanted to play with were the laundry baskets!!!

Obi entertained the girls at dinner, first he took them to see the lobster...

...and then he brought in dessert!

Here's Tag finally going to sleep at the restaurant.

We decorated for Christmas a couple of weeks ago and Kinsey is way excited about Santa coming, playing with Baby Jesus, and she is convinced that we will have snow. Here she is working on our big tree..

And working with Daddy and Tag on her tree in her room...

Here's Tag helping:

Wrapping up:
Kinsey got to play with Emma this month. These two are so cute together. They came out saying they were very mad because Emma's boyfriend has a new girlfriend. Later Kinsey told me that Emma was calling him on the phone and saying "You can't do this to me!" Ah such drama at such a young age :)

And Kinsey has been having some fun this month on her playscape. We went outside to play and she looked at me and said "Mommy, you should go inside and get the camera and take some pictures of me!" She was having lots of fun going down the slide on her tummy and being silly. So here you go...
When I started to take some pics of Tag, she immediately came over and started hamming it up :)

One final cute pic of Tag all cozy for a cold day...

Lots more pics of Thanksgiving and our trip to Jasper soon to come...

I hope the doorknob covers work better for you than they did for us. Brandon figured those out in about a week. We still leave them on his room though because at least he makes more noise opening them with the covers on so we will have a better chance of hearing it :).
